We have been busy in Year One Blue learning so many new things!
We have revisited numbers to 20 and are diving into the next challenge….
all the numbers that come after 20!!
We love working cooperatively with each other and find that working in small groups is a great way to help each other to learn!
We have been learning about the language to describe numbers – biggest, smallest, what comes before, what comes after and are now getting a little bit tricky with our number thinking by using ‘tens’ and ‘ones’ to represent the value of numbers.
We have even started counting by 10’s!
We read the story Tip Tap went the Crab and noticed that crabs have 10 legs!
We soon discovered that counting to 100 by 10’s is a lot quicker than counting each number! We made our own crab using our handprints and have been using our crabs to help us count in 10’s!
We are on our way to becoming number experts!
