Just a note to ask that you please keep a family who is going through a particularly tough time in regard to their health in your daily prayers.
Some wonderful families who are close to this family and the situation have quietly rallied together and are providing meals and practical support.
Father Chien is also unwell at this time and our thoughts are also very much with him as he rests and recuperates.
We will let you know if there is anything you can do to help out, however in the meantime one thing we can all do right now is tap into the power of prayer.
Quietly including this beautiful family, Fr Chien and all families in our community who may be suffering at this time in our everyday prayers, is special and very much appreciated.
Our prayers don’t need to be fancy.. just simple and heartfelt …
“When you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, enter your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. But when you pray, do not use vain repetitions, as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what things you have need of before you ask Him.
“Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from all evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
