On Tuesday 22nd August the Year Five and Six classes had the pleasure of a visit from author Nadia King to celebrate this year’s Book Week. Nadia is the author of Jenna’s Truth, a touching story inspired by true events about a young girl who was bullied in school. Nadia also told us about her life and offered these tips for getting started as a writer.
- Dream your story
- Use writing prompts
- Live your life
- Be nosey
Overall it was a very relevant and interesting presentation by Nadia. The students asked some thoughtful and meaningful questions which will assist students when writing their own narratives.
