Congratulations to all those parents who continue to book holidays in school holiday time – this is absolutely wonderful and a real gift you give to your child’s learning!
Keep the great work!
Quiz Night tables are now filled – many thanks to all those families who have supported the evening by gathering family and friends to come along – really fabulous support for our school! We hope everyone will have a really great night!
Please be reminded that Monday the 2nd June is a Public Holiday (WA Day) and Tuesday 3rd June is a Pupil Free Day (Staff Professional Development Day – Indigenous Cultural Immersion Day)
Please spread the word that the new school website is now our GO TO space for the whole school community to stay well informed of what is happening at St Emilie’s. New posts are being placed here each day so please check regularly. Our new free school app for your phone is nearly ready to go – this will alert you when a new message has been added and link you directly to the website.
It was so lovely to see so many PP families come along for a picnic and a playdate on Friday – thank you staff and families -special times become special memories that children will once again store away for a lifetime!
Hope you all have a wonderful long weekend everyone
Tania, Anne and Stuart
St Emilie’s has a new Scientist in Schools partner called Mr Chris Sayer!
Mr Sayer is a retired Mechanical Engineer who has agreed to come and work with some of our extension science students in science and maths. For maths buffs, he will be talking Fibonacci numbers and the golden ratio theory and in science we are looking into compressive forces and explore how a structure supports a load.
Please make some time to read the following article which highlights some excellent points in regard to the use of social media in the school community.
