When our faith
stands at the grave,
grieving for a stone that’s rolled away,
forgive us Lord.

When our faith
is short of understanding
though the truth is there for us to see,
forgive us Lord.

When our faith, beset by doubt,                                                                                                                       sees no further than an empty tomb,                                                                                                           forgive us.

Bring to mind
the cry of Mary,‘I have seen the Lord!’
and grant us deepfaith to believe!

  • · Messages · Year 3 · Year 4

Year Three and Four students will lead us all in a simple Prayer Service to mark ANZAC DAY this  Friday 2nd May at 8.45am.  If you have a relative who would like to attend this service please bring them along. Likewise, if you have medals belonging to anyone in your family, you may elect for yourself or one of your children to wear these during the service. Please phone the Office with details so that we can make a seat available.  After the service a cuppa will be available in the hall meeting room to give us an opportunity to catch up after the holidays. Please bring a small plate to share – anzac bickies would be really great!

St Em’s Families Stranded in Exmouth!

  • April 27, 2014

  • · News

Honestly, some families will do anything to get out of coming back to school!!!  ( Ha ha ha! Just joking of course!)

Two St Emilie’s families are currently stranded up in Exmouth and this is a photo of what it looked like outside one of their holiday homes last night!!

As I wrote in an email – while we will of course miss them, we wish them all a very safe return!

Life always has many twists and turns for us doesn’t it and when it comes to the weather – we just have no control of it at all! 🙂

Each year students from Year Four classes receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist. This is yet another opportunity for students and families to deepen their relationship with Jesus and with one another, as they further explore what it means to be a ‘Christ follower’ and a bearer of the Good News.

SONY DSC

First Holy Communion Family Workshops will be held in the School Hall at two choices of session time – 5pm and 7pm on Wednesday 18th June.

Unknown-17If your child will be receiving the Sacrament this year, at east one parent and your child is expected to attend one of these sessions.

If you have any questions regarding the above please contact Mrs Anne Aquino via email: aquino.anne@cathednet.wa.edu.au

Way to go – School Walkathon!

IMG_0006_2 IMG_0009_2 IMG_0013_2 IMG_0016_2

Thank you so much to all our families for your wonderful support of our first fundraiser for the year – the whole school walkathon! Children walked with their buddies for half the way, then once the littlies had finished, the big kids ‘got their power walk on’ and finished off their 20 laps. While we certainly raised a fabulous amount, the day itself was a time to get outdoors, chat with our buddies and build relationships, be part of a whole school community effort and to get physical! A special thank you to mums and dads who came along to assist at checkpoints and to cheer us all on  – it was really great to have you all there! (One of the things we are going to purchase with our money this year is a couple of giant chess sets for outdoor play! We are also going to buy some brand new pennant flags for each of our new Houses! YAY!!)
