Here at St Emilie’s we are always happy and supportive to have previous students return to do Christian/Community Service at our school. We have put procedures in place to ensure the well being of all children at St Emilie’s is most important. As all could understand the supervision of extra high school age children on service days can be a big ask for the school.
We require at least two weeks notice for any applications for Christian/Community Service and the below application form must be completed by the student, parent and the high school which is requesting the recognised service hours. This must be completed and handed in to the school office at least two weeks before the Christian/Community Service day. Any application received without the two weeks notice unfortunately will not be considered.
There also needs to be an Insurance Form from the high school attached and an accompanying document that outlines the nature of what is required during the service hours.
Traditionally most schools do not require service hours to begin before Year 9 outside the home.
