There is never a dull moment in Year 1G and this week was no exception.
We are have been very busy and we are loving every minute of it!
We had a visit from Harold the Giraffe. He lives under the Life Van. Harold and his friend Gina taught us about the importance of eating right and exercising. We learnt about different organs in the body and how we can exercise our minds when we are feeling sad or nervous.
We have also been learning all about non-fiction texts and how to write a Report. Over the last few weeks we have written reports on different types of fruit and vegetables. This week we researched an Australian animal called the Rainbow Lorikeet and wrote our own report. We learnt about report structure and paragraphing.
We also made our own ‘magic paper’ and created a Rainbow Lorikeet using scratching art. We cannot wait to show these pieces at our 3 Way Interviews next week. We are very proud of them because we worked very hard!
