Parents are asked to please read the letter below and to reflect upon the conversations that you may find yourself caught up in from time to time, or indeed, on those conversations that you may have initiated.
To be clear, there is no place for judgemental talk in our school.
Those who spend their time talking negatively about others need to rethink.
Conversations have a way of coming back to school when parents talk about other parents, staff members and/or children. While we feel that the parents that engage in this type of behaviour are in the minority, it is good for all of us to reflect and make sure that we are continuing to ‘aim high’
As a school based upon Gospel values, we have high expectations of each and every person. While the secular world might hold up gossip, put downs and negativity as having some entertainment value, in real life it is hurtful and unjust.
Hopefully all of us are growing in wisdom and discernment as each day passes. In this way we can be the very best version of ourselves; the very best parents we can be for our precious, impressionable children.
