Book of Love – Life Link 2019
In Religion we have been talking about the many ways that we can use our bodies to show love to others just like Jesus.
Our learning tied in beautifully to this years LifeLink’s Big Book of Love & Hope project for Catholic Schools.
Archbishop Tim and Bishop Don hoped that all our Archdiocesan primary schools would enthusiastically participate in and support a new and exciting project.
The St Emilie’s Big Book of Love & Hope contains messages of support and care to people in need created by all our classes.
In 1B we learnt more about Identity WA and created our posters celebrating their vision – to build a community in which “All people live with a sense of purpose, a sense of belonging and a sense of wellbeing”.
As a class we brainstormed a list of ideas… things that we felt were important to everyone… and worked in pairs to create our artwork. We had so much fun using shaving and food dye to create our marbled backgrounds! We loved the texture of the shaving cream plus it made our room smell so clean!
We worked very hard on our posters and were so proud of how they turned out. We enjoyed looking at everyones ideas and colourful backgrounds! Here are some of our posters…
We have been very busy in Year One and can’t wait to show you some of our learning in our upcoming Three Way Interviews next week!
Identity Wa is one of Western Australia’s leading agencies supporting people with disability and their families. They provide support to children and adults throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
