Today, we had an exciting and jam-packed day in Year Four!
Our Assembly was all about the text ‘Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing’ by Judy Blume. We showcased our dramatic reading and acting skills by performing some of our favourite scenes from the story. We also shared some different ways that we connected with the text, which we know is an important reading comprehension skill. We finished our assembly with an exciting song about how we loved reading ‘Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing’. Our assembly was a hit and we were proud of our performance!
Recently, we were invited to watch some Year 12 Drama students from Lumen Christi College perform a play based on Roald Dahl’s ‘The Witches’. We headed there on a bus and were warmly welcomed by Mrs Prendergast, Lumen Christi staff and students. We really enjoyed watching the talented actors portraying the characters using great expression and body language. Many of us are now looking forward to one day being on stage ourselves!
What a great Friday we have had in Year Four!
