A HUGE THANK YOU to Kirsten Devereux and her team of friends and family, for their wonderful organisation of this year’s Movie Mania SCHOOL DISCO!
To staff and parent helpers who assisted in any way throughout the evening – many, many thanks! Every helping hand makes a real difference to reduce the workload and increase the fun – your contributions were very much appreciated.
One of our generous parents, Mr Dean Newman, gave up his whole night to take photos and he did a brilliant job! A display will be set up shortly and these pics can be ordered and purchased with a gold coin.
The parent drinks and nibbles in the Hub were also a great success – many thanks to Rachel Davies, Larissa Shaw, Amanda Fuller and all those who helped to offer this terrific opportunity for parents to relax and enjoy each others company.
If the smiles, dance moves and energy were anything to go by, the children had a really wonderful time at the disco, with two very generous teachers – DJ Thomas and DJ Green, getting the music pumping and setting the scene! Great work teachers!!!
As a Principal I take absolutely nothing for granted … Friday nights are treasured by us all and to ask staff to dress up for a disco after a long day at work, could be tricky in any other school but ours!
St Emilie’s staff are very generous and genuinely care about supporting your children to have many opportunities for fun and friendship! Please let them know you appreciate their generosity …
To those who made the effort to personally thank a staff member or P&F organiser or helper – well done. A simple thank you goes a long way – whether by email, a face to face exchange or by a note. And when children say thank you at the end of the night – it really points to good parenting – bravo to those parents who are teaching their children the value of GRATITUDE!
Thank you also to you as parents – for organising costumes, zooming around after work, organising babysitters, being a taxi driver, reading information and more! Life is busy for young families like yours, so your willingness to give your child this chance to deposit another happy childhood experience into their memory banks is really wonderful for them!
Have a great week everyone!
