On Friday of Week 2, some of our Year 5 students took part in an interschool Numero competition.
Numero is a maths card game that requires players to create number sentences using all four operations, percentages, fractions and decimals! Year 5 have been playing this game all year, and on the last day of Term 3, we took part in a round robin competition to help select our two teams.
This was the first time St Emilie’s has ever competed in such a competition, and both of our teams did a fantastic job. We finished 8th and 11th out of 18 teams! The highlight of the day was our Gold team scoring the 3rd highest score in the SCRAMBLE TEAM TAKE round. I would also like to say a special thank you to the 6 stewards for the day, who helped with the running of the event, and a BRAVO to Holly who filled in for a different school!
We will all be much better for the experience and we can’t wait to improve on our finish next year! Well done guys!
