In Year Three, we have been busy learning about different units of measurement. We have discussed where we see common units of measurement in our daily lives, and how we can use certain measurements to work out and compare the length or perimeter of objects in our world. We worked together to measure the length of some of our body parts and items around the class. We have also created mini house plans, based on our own homes, using grid paper. We will then use our new found measuring skills to work out the perimeter and area of each room in the home. Next, we will be exploring volume and capacity!
