During Inquiry, we participated in a lesson called, ‘Exercising Our Funny Bones’. We spoke about the Habit of Mind, ‘Finding Humour’ which provided us with an opportunity to develop an understanding of the importance of humour in our lives. People with a sense of humour are more likely to develop resilience as well as creative and lateral problem solving abilities. Having a sense of humour will also help us cope when our needs or wants are not being met. The Habit of Mind, ‘Finding Humour’ encourages people to laugh a little as laughing increases your oxygen intake and is good for you. It asks us to appreciate other’s humour and to try and laugh at ourselves.
As part of this lesson we were given a question or an answer to a joke. We had to move around the room and find someone who completed out joke. Some of the jokes were terrible and some of them were quite funny, we have shared a few below.
