This term our year 6 students have had two amazing sport opportunities. The Western Force are providing a 5 week clinic that outlines all the many and varied skills of Rugby Union.
As this game is very new to most students, they have had the wonderful opportunity to learn great new skills that include:
1. Agility and speed
2. Catch and pass
4. Scrums and lineouts
The aim of this clinic was to provide students with a new set of skills to learn and the possibility of being able to apply these new skills to a tournament at some stage throughout the year!
PERTH SCORCHERS CLINIC
We have also included a cricket carnival for the first time ever in 2015.
To help us with the rules and skills of T20 Blast cricket, we had a clinic provided by the WACA. This was a very successful clinic, with many students showing interest in representing our school for the carnival.
The Cricket carnival will be held on Tuesday 17th March at Fletcher Park in Carlisle.
For those parents who may come along to support their child, the canteen will be open for refreshments and a coffee van will also be present.
